Chicken breasts

​If you're familiar with folk pottery, you know that chickens and roosters are very popular subjects. I considered making roosters but there are so many incredible clay artists who make them that years ago I decided to do my own take on the fowl. 

After seeing chicken breasts in the grocery store getting larger and larger over the years, I began imagining what a chicken with those sized breasts might look like.... No doubt she'd need some major "junk in the trunk" to balance her enormous front. Might even have tummy rolls. But, she'd be confident with an attitude even bigger than her boobs. She'd be SASSY! She wouldn't be caught wearing sweatpants and a T-shirt. Nope.

She'd be fancy. Evening gowns would accentuate "the girls" and showcase her curves. No flat "hairdo" for her. Her feathers would be coiffed to perfection. After a bit of trial and error, Chicken Breasts were born.

I'm thankful for customers who enjoy the fun and sass of my Chicken Breasts enough to add them to their collections. Many tell me how they make them smile each time they see them in their home. That makes me happy!

​It's such a privilege for someone to like something you create with your head, heart and hands enough to buy it and place it in their home. I never take that for granted.
