everything is prettier in pottery

Cooking is the one activity (the one I'm willing to blog and post pictures about anyway) I enjoy as much as making pottery. I'm a complete dork at heart, so combining my two loves gets me far more excited than it should.

Trying out new recipes and sharing with family and friends is only made better by serving on handmade pottery. Trust me. Everything is prettier in pottery. Don't believe me? Well, get a load of this....

Appetizer on a paper plate? Oh, hell no! A unique tray elevates even the simplest creation.

Sugar snap peas and homemade ranch look fresh and delicious in a stoneware serving dish.

Confession is allegedly good for the soul from what I hear, so here goes.... I'm a charcuterie tray whore. I'm not even a little ashamed. Meats, cheeses, pickled veggies, fresh fruit, crackers. Yes, please! What's not to like? Add a complimentary glass of wine or other preferred beverage and you have an EVENT. Oh, it's just you at home by yourself? Who cares! Charcuterie don't judge.

How about a baguette with a smear of gourmet mustard topped with a bite of duck leg confit?

Don't need a tray full of snacks? I find a plate fits the bill sometimes.
